Book Art: Bird Cage

I haven't done book art for a while. Pretty excited during the process, and really happy with the result!
I have this bird cage idea for a long while, but I just didn't find the good time to start.

I started from designing the structure in Adobe Illustrator.

Print it and cut it.

Cutting, cutting, and cutting... my eyes...QAQ
Finished first structure.

Adding the base of the cage.

Glue together.

Open the "book"!

I truly love the bottom design! :D

First out-class oil painting

I found a photo in FB friend's photo album, and I really love it. So I decided to paint it in oil paint.
And here's the working process and final result of it.
